Graduating high school seniors that are interested in the KSJ Scholarships apply through the online application form. KSJ advertises the availability of scholarships through social media and each scholarship is promoted with high school graduation coaches and guidance counselors.
Scholarship applications form will open up December 12th. Applications will close March 12th, all applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. All completed applications will be submitted to the scholarship selection committees for review to start the selection process.
Scholarship selection committees will involve local community leaders, higher education professionals, high school educators, and business professionals. Our scholarship selection committee consists of an odd number of members, this is required to prevent a tie. Each committee member reads every application. We then grade them from one to five scale (five being the highest) in various categories. The categories applicants will be ranked on is as follows:
